Paddy We Remember

Three images of graffiti along Rossville Street, Derry. “Charles” is Charles, Prince of Wales and Colonel-in-Chief of the parachute regiment, who visited the city in July 1994. “Paddy” might be civil rights activist Paddy Bogside (Paddy Doherty) who walked the Prince around the craft village (perhaps because of their shared interest in urban regeneration and restoration). Get in touch if you can confirm the impetus for the graffiti.

Cathal, This definitely is a reference to Paddy (Bogside) Doherty. Best regards. Peter
